The ARW-1962 ultrasonic thickness gauge is a portable digital gauge designed to determine the thickness of a material with a high resolution of 0.001 mm/0.0001 inch by simply placing the probe on one side without the need for any feedback from the opposite side. Thanks to the 15MHz Delay line DTM15 probe supplied as standard, it can detect thicknesses from 0.3 to 20mm (measuring range depending on the material being measured).
The ARW-1962 is equipped with a large 3.5-inch backlit color screen, a large storage capacity of 100,000 thickness values (100 groups in total, 1000 thickness values per group in the Digital screens), plus 500 groups of data with A-scan images and 500 groups of data with B-scan images. Equipped with , automatic shutdown, presettable alarms and graphic display of the ultrasound waveform. Measurement function automatically selectable (depending on the probe used (E-E, P-E, Thin, Thin EE) with a special mode that allows the instrument to detect the actual thickness of a material regardless of the presence of a coating, such as an anti-corrosion coating, fillers, paint, plastic and other filler material.

Measurement materials
Adapted to different types of materials, as long as they are good conductors of ultrasonic waves, such as metals (steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper and so on), non-metallic materials such as plastic, ceramic, composites, epoxy, glass, fiberglass and so on (In the case of non-metallic materials there must be parameters of compactness and homogeneity to be respected to obtain an optimal result, furthermore the reference of the measuring field varies, which could be significantly reduced, and the choice of the probe, which in some materials is mandatory.
