Instruments for laser distance measurement
The ARW Misure laser distance meters are professional products for precise distance or area detection. Indispensable for builders, real estate and technical firms, they are often also used in other areas, such as carpentry or industries, to obtain meticulous measurements.
A practical and easy instrument: in a few moments it allows you to measure the distance between two points, without the need for physical contact, thanks to a low energy laser beam which does not pose any danger to people. The maximum distance that can be calculated with a laser distance meter is 100 meters, without however leaving a margin of error. The precision is in fact ±1.5 mm.
How does a laser distance meter work?
Distance measurement can be done in two ways:
- Based on TIME. The time it takes for the laser beam to reach the point and return is taken into account. The formula used is: speed times time taken divided by two.
- Based on the DEGREE OF WAVELENGTH DISTORTION. In this case the phenomenon of interference between waves is exploited. The measurement is obtained by multiplying the known value of the laser wavelength by the number of fringes, divided by two.
