Measure the surface roughness with the Roughness Meter

Digital roughness meters allow you to measure the roughness of a surface with extreme simplicity and precision, allowing you to verify and evaluate the presence of geometric microirregularities in a surface.

How does the roughness meter work?
ARWMisure's portable roughness testers allow for easy and fast measurement: the diamond probe is placed in contact with the surface to be analyzed and the instrument returns the roughness measurement expressed according to the selected parameters (among the most common Ra, Rmax and Rz) .
ARWMisure offers different types of roughness testers, from the compact version with built-in probe, to the version with separable translation system to cover any need, even for special uses on flat, cylindrical (external and internal diameters) and inclined surfaces.

The most used roughness parameters

  • Roughness parameter “Ra” (ISO 4287, DIN 4768)
  • Maximum roughness parameter Rmax (DIN 4768, ISO 4288 and DIN 4287)
  • Average roughness Rz (DIN 4768, ISO 4287 and DIN 4762)
