Instruments for electrosmog risk assessment

To detect electromagnetic waves, the level of pollution present in the surrounding area and therefore the risk of electrosmog, electromagnetic field meters are indispensable products. In particular, they are used in high-permanence environments such as workplaces and homes.

There are some laws has introduced maximum limits for exposure to electromagnetic fields above which they can cause negative effects on safety and health. These, obviously, are not visible to the human eye, but they are often present in the environments we frequent and can be generated by natural sources or, in most cases, by artificial sources.

What are Electromagnetic Field Meters?

Electromagnetic fields are present everywhere in our environment and are represented by electric charges that are completely invisible to our eye with different frequencies, amplitudes and power. Different frequencies act on the human body in different ways - furthermore there are ionized electromagnetic fields (e.g. X-rays) and non-ionized (e.g. cell phones, radio waves, etc.)

The measurement of them is fundamental in many professional fields and different sectors such as: medical, industrial, railway, manufacturing, telecommunications etc...

ARW measuring instruments represent a standard in the industry as they guarantee excellent reliability in measuring electrosmog in various environments - while offering excellent value for money.

What types of electromagnetic field meters exist?

  • Low frequency: ideal for monitoring electromagnetic fields produced by devices operating with a bandwidth from 30 Hz to 2000 Hz, such as household appliances, motors, transformers, etc.
  • High frequency: used to measure electromagnetic fields of a band between 50 MHz and 40 Ghz and therefore detect background electrosmog in the home or in industries, caused by Wi-Fi, microwave ovens, etc. or to identify hidden microphones and cameras .
  • Professional: able to respond to any need in the evaluation of electromagnetic fields. They are usually equipped with probes that allow the detection of the widest range of frequencies of electromagnetic waves.
