Non-contact temperature measurement instruments

Infrared thermometers, also called optical pyrometers, are an essential product in the toolkit of anyone who needs to measure temperatures, in various sectors, industrial maintenance and above all in the food sector. In fact, they allow you to detect the temperature quickly and above all without the need to directly touch the surface.

One of the great advantages that an infrared thermometer offers is the possibility of measuring the temperature of a body even in the presence of dynamic processes and in points that are difficult to reach.

The Arwmisure range of optical pyrometers allows you to satisfy various types of professional needs, guaranteeing an excellent quality/price ratio. We start from the ARW-835A infrared thermometer which represents an entry level capable of meeting good standards, up to more advanced optical pyrometers in terms of accuracy, tolerance and functionality. Discover the Arwmisure range in our online shop of infrared thermometers.

Three fundamental aspects of an infrared thermometer (or pyrometer)

  • The ratio of distance to object size (D:S). Pyrometers have a measurement target (spot) which determines the detection diameter in relation to the measurement distance.
  • Reflection. If the surface whose temperature you want to know is reflective, it is better to opt for traditional thermometers with contact probes.
  • It does not measure air temperature. Pyrometers detect the energy emitted by a hot body and therefore do not allow the measurement of ambient air.
