The ARW-1301 light meter or also called luxmeter is a pocket-sized instrument that is easy to use thanks to the equipment of a single selector where it is possible to select the desired scale range between 200 lux (Res. 0.1 lux), 2000 lux (Res. 1 lux), 20,000 lux, 50,000 lux (Res. 100 lux), and then proceed with the measurement.
It is equipped with a 3 1/2 digit LCD display with low battery indication and other functions such as the button for switching measurement units from Lux to candela "fc" and the Max Hold measurement function for detecting the maximum value. The sensor is equipped with a protective cover which must be removed during measurements and the delivery includes a soft carrying case.
The photo diode with filter used was built in compliance with the spectral sensitivity characteristics defined by the C.I.E. (International Commission on Illumination).
