This instrument is used to measure pollution from high frequency electromagnetic fields emitted by artificial sources such as radio stations, mobile phone repeaters, radar, digital and analog signal transmissions, and so on. It is important not to be exposed to dangerous levels of electromagnetic radiation and it is necessary to operate effective protection in compliance with national and international regulations and standards aimed at identifying the limit levels of exposure to protect the health of each individual, both in the workplace and at home or in public. The permissible power density limit established by these regulations is the intensity of electric and magnetic fields in different frequency ranges and signal forms are measured with the help of special equipment called "EMF electromagnetic field meters" as in the case of the ARW-90EMF model, capable of detecting the intensity of high frequency (RF) electromagnetic waves, i.e. the measurement of the intensity of electromagnetic radiation of any transmission device such as the antenna of a cellular telephone base station or different wireless communication applications (CW, TDMA, GSM, DECT).
